Killer python attacks antelope for lunchtime death battle – but gets a nasty surprise

AN AMBITIOUS snake received the surprise of its life while trying to take on an antelope at supper time.

Pythons are known for eating monkeys, rodents, lizards, birds and – in some cases – animals as large as elephants.

But the bigger animals often pose a challenge to the carnivorous reptile as the above clip displays.

The footage shows a huge python wrapping itself around a lifeless antelope in the long grass.
