Noel Gallagher was spotted celebrating in the crowd with the away fans during Manchester City's 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest, as the famous Citizens fan enjoyed the trip to the City Ground.  Josko Gvardiol and Erling Haaland scored the goals for the visitors on Sunday that kept the pressure on leaders Arsenal, who are now one point ahead having played a game more than City.  It was far from plain sailing for City, although they ultimately won by a clear margin, as Chris Wood notably spurned a number of chances in front of goal, but at full-time it was the champions that took the points. 

NOTTINGHAM FOREST 0-2 MANCHESTER CITY: Manchester City reeled Premier League leaders Arsenal back in with a 2-0 win at Nottingham Forest as the title race heads towards a thrilling finale. The Gunners moved four points clear when they beat Tottenham in a frantic north London derby earlier on Sunday, but City immediately responded thanks to goals from Josko Gvardiol and Erling Haaland at the City Ground. Victory leaves them a point behind Mikel Arteta's side with a game in hand and ensured Pep Guardiola's 300th Premier League match in charge of City ended in success.

Ben White has been caught undoing the gloves of Spurs goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario from the corner that put Arsenal ahead in the north London derby. Bukayo Saka 's inswinging corner was headed into the back of his own net by Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

Arsenal moved four points clear at the top of the Premier League as Mikel Arteta's side held on to secure a 3-2 North London derby win over Tottenham. The title chasers took the lead through a Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg own goal, with Spurs then seeing an Micky van der Ven equaliser ruled out for a narrow offside. Buyako Saka doubled Arsenal's lead following a counter-attack before Kai Havertz headed in from a corner to secure a 3-0 half-time advantage.

Arsenal have officially finished above Tottenham for the second year in a row with a tense 3-2 win away at their bitter rivals on Sunday afternoon.  The Gunners took away three vital points in the title race on Sunday after goal from Bukayo Saka and Kai Havertz, with Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg putting the ball into his own net on 15 minutes. Spurs fought back in the second half through Cristian Romero and a late Son Heung-min penalty, however Arsenal held on to the lead to keep themselves ahead of Manchester City for at least the next game week. 

THE NOTEBOOK: Arsenal sealed back-to-back away wins over Tottenham for the first time in 36 years on Sunday, beating their arch-rivals 3-2 in the North London Derby to stretch their lead at the top.  Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg began the miserable afternoon for Spurs with an own goal in 15 minutes, before Bukayo Saka and Kai Havertz made it 3-0 by the break with the Gunners threatening a pummeling.  Tottenham were much-improved after the break, however, although they needed a large slice of luck to plunder one back through Cristian Romero, before Son Heung-min's brilliant penalty made it a tense ending for the visitors. 

Rasmus Hojlund (inset) cut a bemused figure as Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag decided to bring midfielder Kobbie Mainoo (left) off during Saturday's clash against Burnley. Hojlund - who joined in a £72m summer transfer from Atalanta - has forged a strong relationship with Mainoo and fellow United youngster Alejandro Garnacho during his debut campaign at the club.

Jamie Carragher has described Mohamed Salah as 'daft' for his mixed zone 'fire' comment after the Liverpool star's touchline spat with manager Jurgen Klopp. The Egyptian was dropped to the bench for Liverpool's 2-2 draw at West Ham on Saturday and looked decidedly unhappy with Klopp when he was finally introduced in the 79th minute. Salah waves his arms, pointed towards Klopp and continued to berate his manager before striker Darwin Nunez, also brought on at the same time, intervened to calm him down.

Tuchel (left) is due to leave in the summer and they are reportedly in talks with Ralf Rangnick to replace him, but more than 17,000 fans have signed a petition demanding that he stay. The turmoil between Tuchel and Hoeness does the club no good heading into Tuesday's Champions League semi-final first-leg with Real Madrid.

WEST HAM 2-2 LIVERPOOL - LEWIS STEELE AT THE LONDON STADIUM: 'If I speak, there will be fire,' said the forward, who earlier had a heated exchange with Jurgen Klopp (left) on the touchline when he was about to come on as a substitute. Arms were outstretched, fingers pointed and Darwin Nunez , of all people, had to step in as an unlikely peacemaker. The German manager tried to play it down and said: 'We spoke about that moment in the dressing room with the lads, it's done.' Klopp tried to extinguish any flames of speculation but Salah then added fuel, the debate roared on and soon became out of control. Social media is not the best gauge for fan opinion but a large majority of supporters soon started to turn on Salah, the man with 210 Liverpool goals to his name, after his petty antics threatened to overshadow the farewell tour of club legend Klopp.

Noni Madueke had to be dragged away from referee Craig Pawson after Chelsea 's 2-2 draw with Aston Villa on Saturday evening. Madueke and his team-mates thought they had secured a 96th-minute winner when Axel Disasi headed home from close range to make it 3-2 in their favour. However, the goal was disallowed after a lengthy VAR check that saw Pawson consult the pitch-side monitor. Madueke was furious with the decision and wanted to make his feelings known after the final whistle at Villa Park.

JOE BERNSTEIN: Erik ten Hag has called on Manchester United fans and TV pundits who played for the club to be patient after his substitutions were loudly booed during a disappointing 1-1 draw at home to Burnley. The United boss was forced to defend himself as Old Trafford showed open dissent when popular teenager Kobbie Mainoo was replaced midway through the second half with Rasmus Hojlund with the game still goalless. Ten Hag also felt the need to defend the squad as whole, claiming they are 'one of the most dynamic and entertaining teams in the league' despite struggling for form this season.   

TOM COLLOMOSSE: Even the sweetest champagne can cause a painful hangover and despite regaining their Premier League status, Leicester City may all too soon experience the morning after the night before. A season that could end with 100 points and the Championship title is cause for much celebration, but the problem is that the euphoria may not last too long.

ASTON VILLA 2-2 CHELSEA - KIERAN GILL AT VILLA PARK: There were fans with flares outside of Villa Park's Trinity Road Stand turning the air claret and blue as the team coaches arrived. 'On our way, on our way, to the Champions League, we're on our way,' they slurred after a thirsty Saturday build-up. Even the bloke with a broken ankle was hopping along to the chant on his one good leg. They expected an easy victory against a Chelsea team that have resembled a £1billion travelling circus at times this season, not least in their five-goal mauling at Arsenal in midweek.

The second north London derby of the season is upon us on Sunday afternoon, as both Tottenham and Arsenal enter the run in for their respective 2023-24 Premier League campaigns. The reverse fixture saw the points shared at the Emirates, with Son Heung-Min bagging a brace to earn the then-league-leaders a hard-fought point, but with the title race as it is, Arsenal will need to take all three this time to stand any chance of lifting their first Premier League trophy in 20 years. Spurs on the other hand will be looking to close in on Aston Villa to clinch fourth place and return to the Champions League.

Sheffield Wednesday chairman Dejphon Chansiri has been filmed shoving a young fan after being taunted outside Hillsborough Stadium on Friday evening. The fan appeared to stop Chansiri outside the stadium for a selfie, but instead of taking a photo he decided to mock the chairman. The supporter was heard chanting 'get out of our club, Dejphon Chansiri, get out of club' while standing in front of the 55-year-old businessman.

New footage has emerged showing a possible explanation for Jurgen Klopp and Mohamed Salah's touchline spat in Saturday's 2-2 draw against West Ham at the London Stadium. The Egyptian had already appeared frustrated after being relegated to the bench after previously struggling in the Merseyside derby defeat at Goodison Park earlier in the week.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe could have been forgiven for feeling exhausted on Sunday night. The 71-year-old ran the London Marathon before dashing to Wembley in time to catch the second half of the FA Cup semi-final between Manchester United and Coventry. Ratcliffe, who bought a 25 percent stake in United earlier this year, arrived at Wembley with Erik ten Hag's men 2-0 up courtesy of goals from Scott McTominay and Harry Maguire.
