.Which of the show makes a mockry of the American culture?

Which of the show was present during American great depression ?

Which of the show was hosted in another country?

As liberal as the American society may appear to be, certain scenes are properly censored on national television.

Nigeria is a country burning down, yet our youths discuss big brother "Nigeria" held in South Africa
hmmm and i thought it was Nigeria that hosted the show. Wow why host ur programme in a foreign land? Dat part i don't get.look, one of the times i watched one of the past big brother episodes d show bored me to high heavens. But then i do get amused when i see ppl in my area getting into heated passionate argument over BBN. U have a point about those American reality shows being censored on some certain areas. But then anyhow we say it, the big brother will still be going on cos from the looks of things it seems the organizers are making a lot of money from the show. They are selling what we want and if we need rubbish they are selling the rubbish to us. Its all about the money.the only thing that becomes unsettling is when youths argue with passion over BBN as if their life depend on it. U will see some even threatening each other...all cos of BBN.

I am amazed at how my brothers and sisters reason

I won't make a huge fuss about anyone's choice, if Nigeria as a country is actually working or the show is held in Nigerian (providing enough employment to Nigerian youth) and portraying presentable aspects of our diverse cultures to the world.
The first one held in 2006 did a little bit of all of that .

Asides the very obvious issue of corruption, this show is doing exactly what killed Nigeria

How crazy will it appear, if American movies were shot in Nigeria with Nigerian staffs, but only few American actors? Can that movie be called an American movie?

I swear, I can remember when dakwambo, the taraba state governor advised our youths to get their pvc and stop watching the show, they rained insults on him, I hardly see any northerner giving the so called show attention, that's why they occupy almost all positions in government

A funny Nigerian lady tried to justify this craziness by categorically stating that her love for BBN is similar to my love of football.

I just laughed at that fallacy

Footballers are trained professionals who spend nearly 5 to 6 hours everyday training and about 100 mins running around on a football field under immerse pressure just to entertain us.

BbN contestants on the other hand, are simply excuse for entertainment and most contestants cannot even be seen as entertainers in the real sense of the word.

It gathers so much following because of the unpredictable nature of the various dramas going on in the house, but after watching almost 5 different big brother shows like I did, you won't find anything unpredictable about the show anymore.

The loud mouths
The gossiping crew
The love birds (try Kevin Pam and tazania chick because they actually got married)

The cute guys
The fighters
The quiet ones that never win, but go very far and almost always a lady

The crazy lady everyone hates
The lady that get bleeped
etc

The winners are always the down to earth men or ladies who can connect with the audience.

So like Rico like Kelvin, like uti like karen, like efe like miracle.

I honestly feel it's another wasted three months where the country's legislation became a joke and Fulani herdsmen continued their carnage, but I don't expect anyone to care

Ever wondered why we ended here in the first place

Now, you see why i follow you. You see thesame picture i see. If i see any of those contestants i may not even know them. I followed BbA involving Kelvin and that Tanzanian back then but lost interest from there.

I don't know about other mods but lalasticlala should be objective and unbiased about it...

I just can't wrap my head around the fact that our youths spend so much energy on a seemingly unproductive show..

So because i added this info which can not be regarded as intellectual i should now quote my whole write up coming from the source abi..

' 2006, BBNaija was conceived by Obi Asik the then CEO of storm 360 as a platform to promote the Nigerian brand as well as the rising dominance of the country’s entertainers on the entertainment scene in Africa "

Guy that is intellectual theft, if you have literature lifted from other peoples articles, reference it with italics or quotes, you just proved to be as useless as the article describes those whom you are trying to describe.

Blah, blah, blah!

You don't tell another person how to invest their funds when you are not a fund manager or wealth management specialist.

It's in the entertainment sector and that is how things are run there.

The average national IQ is 70.

That is less than the average IQ of an American mental asylum.

The few intellectual outliers In Nigeria are all busy with GRE, TOEFL, and IELTS exams so that they can leave the country.

Just for you to know how lazy and brain dead Nigeria youth are, host a brain teaser show and see the number of youths that will turn up for audition unlike the number of slay queens that floods BBN auditions.

Also how are we sure there’s no government backing on BBN just to make we youth more useless and turn away from reality. #Just an observation.

Also when you host a brain teaser show, you think youth will watch the show talk more of voting?

You Just Said it all

Not just a foreign land, SA for that matter. A country that would not hesitate to kill your countrymen over the slightest provocation? A country known for xenophobic actions across Africa? angry They even killed a Nigerian within the period of the show.

Don't mind the jokers. They don't know what it takes to be relevant in a chosen career part for more than three months.

Efe' s popularity is dying a slow death because he felt he was an entertainer after winning the big brother show. I wish Miracle all the best of luck tho.

Hehehehehe I can see how pained u are.. Are u not the same person supporting and dying for bamteddy on that BBN thread?..
Now u ate pained that ur favourite lost.

Omg Nigerians and hypocrisy... U must be a Yoruba man grin
