sharp man. The children are just being selfish and myopic here.
All those opposing this case have only one thing in mind - the effect on the younger relationship as if somehow the happiness of that one must supersede that of the parents.
. . . and as for those talking about inbreeding - really? the woman is 62! If she has a baby now it would be the 8th wonder of the world.

I wonder what this age is turning into. My father having an affair with my mother inlaw? And some people here say there's nothing wrong with it? Because my mum is late and her dad is late too? All because of HAPPINESS? And when you are about to marry you say 'you are married to your spouse's family'?

Morality! Morality!! Morality!!! And they call themselves elders? By that act and without remorse, they are not worth my respect! God help us.

What do you expect. When he is done here he willprobably go force his 15 year old housemaid to have sex with him or slap his driver for driving too fast or bribe the police man on his way home all the while shouting about what is morally right. Nigerians for you

Why am I also siding with the minority of those who disbelieve the story?

First, the mother in-law has been widowed for ten years

The father in-law for 15 years

Both numbers are what I would consider whole, not two or seven or 11 or 16, but 2 wholesome numbers.

Two: The friends of this poster are the youngest children in the family.

You shouldnt be supporting this. the fact that they are bound by the marriage of their children has made them all families. i feel its completely inappropriate. please stop encouraging your friends to accept this. she needs to talk to the mother i have no problem with a widow or a widower remarrying on the basis of death of the partner irrespective of his/her age but certainly not to the inlaw. this also applies to some ladies and even dudes who thinks that its ok to date a brother-in-law's younger or elder brother/sister. the world have billion souls so they should go out and make some search elsewhere. its just so weired and inappropriate and if they are Catholics its even against the canon laws of the church.
debrief08: Please forgive my topic title. A close friend of mine got married last year. Her Husbands dad is a widower and her mom is a widow. Somehow during the wedding preaprations both parents met and formed a relationship which looked normal considering that they were now inlaw. In d last 6 months my friend was complaining that her mom was acting strange, she was secretive, taking greater care in her appearance and traveling without informing the family of her actual whereabouts, e.g she will go to london and refuse to stay with her kids who re living der and dey won't see her till like a day before she lives. Anyway my friend is her moms last born, same thing with her husband. She called me today and told me dat she went for a course in d town where her mom lives without informing her mom she was coming, only for her to get homd and find her father in law in his pajamas in her mothers room. She is hysterical and angry but I see nothing wrong, her mom is 62 her father in law is 69, both of them are healthy and nice people, dey are adults as I told her and if dey want to sleep or get married I don't think its wrong, as I told her I would rather her mom is with someone she knows and trusts dan someone she doesn't know. She hasn't told her husband or siblings yet she is too scandalised, asked me if she should tell them, I told her to let the parents break the news when they are ready. Anyway maybe its me but is der anything inappropirate about this relationship?
