Actually, it has!

There's no way they wouldn't fold up with such huge interest payments. Not also forgetting the short tenor of the placements by their investors.

Yes... some promised 100% interest per annum or more.

Technically, it is possible to make even more than that from Agriculture. However, it is not possible to consistently promise and deliver such returns to tens of thousands of subscribers.

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: What I Am Going Through Now.. Advice Needed by DaleMcWayne: 3:29pm On Oct 01, 2023
Hi DanielBen,

what you have described is not peculiar to you.

Lack of self-confidence, stage fright, etc can VERY easily be overcome. How?

The easiest and fastest way to overcome EVERYTHING you have described is to get involved in activities that essentially force you to interact with others and to speak before an audience.

For example:

1. Join a book reading club.
2. Join a group in church like the Sunday School teachers, the choir, the evangelism/outreach group etc.
3. Actively participate during Bible reading or Sunday School sessions in church.
4. Attend and participate actively in your neighbourhood, Estate or town meetings.
5. Make a habit of reading slowly (while standing in front of a mirror) for at least 30 minutes everyday.
6. Any other activity that forces you to speak to other people.

By applying this methodology, I've had very shy teenagers in my church who have now turned into confident motivational speakers.

Best of luck!

Autos / Re: NÀÌJÁ THROWBACK! Honda Civic Purchase Receipt In 1976 by DaleMcWayne: 7:42pm On Mar 12, 2023
This is a simple and straightforward way of comparing the cost of living in 1976 vs today.

Good one!

NaijaphiliaBlog:
Your proposal is insightful. Let's check it out:

(A). PURCHASING POWER IN 1976 VS COST OF 1976 HONDA CIVIC
In 1976, Nigeria's nominal minimum wage was ₦60 per month i.e. ₦720 per annum.

In 1976, the cost of a brand-new Honda Civic was ₦3,205

This was equivalent to 53.5 months' salary (or four and a half years' salary).

(B). PURCHASING POWER IN 2023 VS COST OF 2023 HONDA CIVIC
In 2023, Nigeria's minimum wage is ₦30,000 per month i.e. ₦360,000 per annum.

In 2023, the cost of a brand-new Honda Civic is ₦19.5m (approx).

This is equivalent to 650 months' salary (54 years' salary).

(C). INFERENCE
By this purely linear logic (not taking any other germane factors into account), the base-salaried Nigerian worker in 2023 is more than 12-fold worse off than his 1976 counterpart!
