Manchester United to offer Anthony Martial a £45m five-year deal after stunning return to form
The French winger's career at Old Trafford looked to be over after a number of bust-ups with boss Jose Mourinho
MANCHESTER UNITED are preparing a mega new contract offer for Anthony Martial worth a staggering £45million including bonuses.
The French winger's career at Old Trafford looked to be over at the start of the season after a number of bust-ups with boss Jose Mourinho.
He has since come back into form, scoring five goals in his last four Premier League matches, and helping United climb the table.
And the 22-year-old is now set to be rewarded with fresh terms, with a five-year deal worth around £190,000-a-week going on the table.
He recently turned down £160,000-a-week, but has no intentions of quitting the Red Devils and wants to stay after becoming settled in Manchester.
United also have an option to extend his contract by a further 12 months to prevent him walking away on a free next summer.
But it is understood talks will begin this week over the multi-year deal, and it will all be sealed by the time the Christmas period comes around.
An Old Trafford source said: “It would cost us £100m to replace Anthony at least, his future has to be here at United.
“There have been encouraging signs a deal can be done and also having the 12 month option has crystallised thinking on both sides of the negotiations.
“United always finds the money when it is in the best interests of the club, and keeping Martial is a top priority at this current time.”

Meanwhile, Martial has also been eyed by Juventus, who are looking at giving him a bumper contract to lure him to Italy.
The Old Lady and Serie A champions are also targeting Dortmund's English wonderkid Jadon Sancho, who is valued at £70m.
